Holland Society Midwest Branch President, Kelly VanWormer is hosting a branch event at the Haworth Hotel in Holland, Michigan on Saturday November 1st.

Dr. Robert Swierenga of the Van Raalte Institute at Hope College will be speaking at the luncheon. The A.C. Van Raalte Institute is an internationally recognized leader in historical research. The institute focuses on Dutch American history of the 19th and 20th centuries; the history of Holland, Michigan, and its subcultures; and the history of Hope College.

After the luncheon, the Holland Visitors Bureau can lead a walking tour of downtown Holland with a guide dressed in Dutch attire for interested attendees. A stop at the newly opened Heinen Delfts Blauw store may be arranged as well.

For attendees that like to stay overnight in Holland, MI, the Haworth Hotel is offering a special room rate at $169 per night - with guests booking their own rooms. Check in at 3 pm and check out is 12 pm.
